Chiefly sermons (900 items, many written on small sheets of paper or note cards, generally undated, some in German, with short title and index reference), documenting Fitterer's preaching career at Pike Evangelical Church, west of Bellevue, and other churches; illustrations used in the sermons; four addresses, including an address (1904) to the G.A.R. at Bettsville, Ohio; pastoral record book (1892) containing reference to a sermon preached, notations on weather, and lists of visitations and expenses; account book (1892-1893); clippings reflecting sermon topics such as temperance, missions, tithing, and religious aspects of dancing, including poems and short articles; and an undated letter on stewardship from the board of a local Evangelical church to members of the congregation regarding financial contributions to the church.
